My Days are Numbered

I’m not ill by any means, but I have many friends and loved ones that are very sick. And that, naturally, has been a good reminder that our time here is indeed finite. We are alive, but dying probably sooner than we care to imagine. What will we do with the days we have left? My plan is to spend most of them doing what I love to do — following the muse. It’s a pledge I made years ago when my life was threatened, but, like renewing wedding vows, making such a re-commitment reminds me that this relationship with myself is for life and if I want to make it work I’d best support that person all the way. But I need to do so today.  Because I am, like we all are, running out of time.

One day I decided to follow the muse and paint the kitchen (yes, the kitchen!) wall. I had so much fun that I was glad I did it, even though I obliterated it by three layers of paint a few days later!
